Shrine

Temperamental Little Camera and I went out this morning looking at springs and shrines. We found a spring in the village at the top of St Barbara Street - sounds like a holy well to me! We found lots and lots of other wayside shrines too and at every opportunity I had a peek inside to check which saint was favourite. TLC was in sulky/grumbly mode and not a lot came out too sharply, though I was pleased with this. This is the interior of one of the larger, purpose-built shrines, similar to the one i blipped on 1st Feb. I guess that several family members attend to this and it includes all the family's favourite saints. This particular one belongs to the family of Jimmy Lettuce. Honest!
