Mijas Pueblo

is a typical Andalusian white-washed village, located on a mountainside about 430 metres or 1,476 feet above sea level, in the heart of the Costa del Sol region. says wikipedia.

Today we visited Mijas Pueblo with the in-laws. I like the village. Even with it's tourist attractions it's still quite Spanish with it's looks and very narrow and labyrinth roads. Walking there is fine. Driving there is infernal. We did that once and I think I lost few years out of my life.

There are donkey taxis and horse carriages and honey roasted almond sellers (they are sooooo good). Loads of little lovely cafes and restaurants and the view over the coast is fabulous.

The windy weather continues. It was so windy up there, but as soon as we were sheltered from the wind it was quite warm. Mijas Pueblo is one of the main tourist attractions in Andalucia area. There were lots of Asians with their selfie sticks and the place was very much alive even during winter. We've been to so many winter ghost towns that at this point it's always a surprise when there's other people too.

Back to Coín for the night. Another cold night ahead. Log burner has been fired up. Cozy as long as it's on.
