Finally got one!

I've been wanting to get this hybrid Witch-hazel, surely the finest winter-flowering shrub, for years. Last week I extended one of the flower beds and finally had room to add one. It is already a great delight, brightening up a horrible, dull day like today with its spaghetti-like clusters of acid yellow petals spreading from a subtle red-purple calyx.
