Backblip: Sunday - Scapa Bay, with Distillery
We needed to be in the ferry queue by 3 pm on Sunday. Tesco was calling our name (ugh) and we allotted an hour and a half to that task, working out that after breakfast we would have a couple of hours spare. What to do with them? We thought we would visit Scapa.
The weather was fair when we arrived and I wish that I had taken photographs then but we took Nell around the Crantit Trail, coming back to the bay in much less enticing weather. It made for a good sky though.
There is a 100 yard exclusion zone around the pier (extra pic), which is a great shame as piers are highly photogenic. I felt robbed.
After Tesco we went to Weyland Bay for a late lunch in the van, interrupted by a visit from a pair of Campervan enthusiasts who had spotted us from their house and drove down to say hello and to admire Brunhilde. It turned out that Mr L "knew" the man via camping forum online.
