The Right Tools
It's amazing how easy things are when you have the right tools.
Abortive trip to SNEC with the horse trailer this afternoon. Felt it was towing a bit funny, so a couple of miles down the road stopped to have a look. Discovered a big bulge in one of the tires - due to rubbing on a bent mudguard (I think the towing funny was actually just due to the weight of two big horses!). So aborted the trip and drove carefully back to the stables - you can't change the tire with the horses in the box, and taking them out by the side of a busy road wasn't going to be fun.
There is a lot of heavy machinery around at the stables, and hence a lot of big boys toys, including a monstrous trolley jack. Slip it under, two pumps of the handle, and changing a wheel becomes easy as pie. Everyone should have one.
Although you couldn't fit anything else in your boot if you did.
