Hobbit Hills

I took a detour today on my way home via the road where the Hobbit Movie Set is situated and took some photos from a layby nearby.
It is no wonder Peter Jackson chose this spot because the scenary in this area is gorgeous in every season.
It is mid-summer now so there are signs of a drought on the hills, however the brighter green areas are in maize or dairy pasture which is probably irrigated and are looking lush and contrast well with the brown hills.
