Who goes there!
I was on my way to photograph more waves this morning when out of the corner of my eye I saw this dassie in the bush. Of course as soon as I stopped he disappeared but before long appeared again. So waves were forgotten (I was in a bit of a hurry anyway) and I played at being a statue but with camera ready when he sat still. In SA we call them Dassies, but they are better known as Rock Hyrax. Believe it or not their closest living relative is the elephant. They are usually found in groups and one is always the sentry (as was this one) who warns of approaching predators
