Off to see the Toon

Up almost as fit as my fiddle and off to Waverley for the train down the east coast to see the Toon, clutching my Costa Americano.  A good crowd - here are Messrs T and McF, and Messrs W and H further up the hill.

Anyway, there were beers at the Bridge and then a fairly uninspiring game of soccer, the Magpies seeing off the Baggies by a solitary goal. Then to the Hyena (a rubbish trendy bar) the Crown Posada (as excellent as the Hyena was shite) and the train back North with our wee tinnies of M&S G&T. Now, of course, it should have been straight home, but word had got out that blip’s own Martin Dawe was in town to watch the egg chasers. And not just anywhere, no - in the Guildford, so conveniently close to the station….
