Pink Fir Apple

Although its not an apple, its a particularly splendid potato. We have grown them before and thought they were gorgeous.

Today we popped over to see J9s Dad as a local allotment society were having a plant/ seed/ seed potato sale. We got a bag of these which should hopefully yield a good 50+ pounds of spuds, along with some purple asparagus plants. We also ended up with some unplanned, but fantastic looking blueberry, redcurrant and blackcurrant bushes. All with change from £30.

As the icing on the cake we then retired back to J9s dads and Pauline served up a fantastic lamb roast followed by home made lemon meringue pie.
