First Focus Stack

So, on Wednesday we had a talk given to us by one of our Clubs founding members Colin Varndell. A fab talk, and lots to take in and understand, but one thing I really wanted to try was focus stacking. I will need a focus rail to get good results, but as a first attempt I thought it was not too bad. This is 8 images, taken with 5DIII, 100mm Macro at f2.8. You can see the definate areas that are not in focus, but with a focus rail and a lot more photos I look forward to improving it. PS has what appears to be a pretty good auto engine for producing these stacks, surely easier than manually deleting...
