My wife normally carries a spare battery for her camera so that when the battery in the camera runs out, she can swap it over.  However, on a number of occasions she has found the spare battery also flat.  I tell her that she should charge her battery as soon as she takes it out of the camera.

Whoops.

I should listen to my own advice.
