Meet Biggles

I don't know why I haven't blipped him before. He's one of my favourite pieces of memorabilia.

He's quite heavy, about two foot in height and he cost me about £50 back in the early eighties.

There is a lovely shop in Bedford High Street, been there forever, and calls itself a "gentleman's emporium" and I'm fairly certain I saw and bought Biggles on a present shopping trip there once. I remember I went back some months later when I'd saved enough money to buy another one, alas they'd all sold. And I've never seen anything like it since.

He just appealed to me and I've loved him ever since.
