A change of plan

We intended going to the beach at Thurstaston this morning but the sun had brought everyone out and we couldn't get in either car park!  Quick change of plan and we diverted to Thurstaston Common instead. 

The colours were gorgeous as the gorse was in flower.  I wasn't intending to do a bird blip today but as I was photographing a gorse bush the robin flew into it.  Well, what could I do? I just had to take his photo didn't I?
