Barnacle Geese not Starlings!

Went on our yearly visit to Gretna to see the Starling display but no luck this year with that, only very small flocks around. But did see the likes of  Barnacle , Nuthatch,Tree Sparrow, Little Egrets, Shovelers, Yellowhammer, Goldcrest,Bar-tail Godwits,Dunlin to mention the best. Good weekend for birding which we did not anticipate.
