Not so blue Med!

The overnight winds continue unabated this morning bringing the Med to life.   Temperatures not too cold.

This morning we intended going into El Ejido to see the Carnival of Sardines (Entierro de la sardina).   A symbolic figure, usually a respresentation of the sardine, is 'buried' in a 'mock' funeral which is held on Ash Wednesday.   (the weekend here!)   A symbolic burial of the past to allow society to be reborn.

However, the wind was so strong we decided against it.   Our celebrations for the children here in Almerimar had to be transferred from outside in the Plaza into to Third Age building.    We shall have to make sure we make it next year.

So I took my blip today of the angry sea, sheltered behind a Chiringuito.   I like the sun shining on the surf.
