Flower Friday creeping in...

It's creeping in because I'm blipping this Saturday morning!
We were up and out SO early for school today - it takes about 50 minutes for Asha to walk there...but she arrived at school chirpy, having skipped and bounced most of the way! It was LOVELY to bump into Thea on the way home, nipped into a nearby coffee shop for coffees the size of our heads (quite impressive seeing as we live on the isle of espresso sized drinks!) as neither of us had had any caffeine yet. So lovely to start the day off with her - catching up without kids around.

Then a morning in the Market Square doing emails etc... Nice to see a few people I know. It's so wonderful having a tablet and being able to do things out and about, stop and start dependent of who's around...

Asha and I met Thea and Rudy after school for a few hours in the play park - then home for a treat tea of SALMON. I told Asha that Hallucination30 & I couldn't eat it when we were little, as we felt it looked too like flamingo (just the colour, obviously)...she thought we were ridiculous. Which, we were!

Today I'm grateful for;
1) Walking around town today, and to and from school, so many people to wave at, say hi to, ask how their family are etc etc... I really enjoy living in a small place where the resident population is relatively small, and therefore being able to get to know more people... A lot of people I saw today I don't have deep relationships with, but even that quick connection with someone, feels somehow satisfying...Yosco who sells fruit and veg to the cafés & bars, Vicent from the photo gallery, Bartolo who runs a local bar, Juan from next door, Juan who begs outside our supermarket, the postwoman, Craig who lives on the streets etc etc...
2) Coffee with Thea this morning - it was just what I needed, and I think, just what she needed too.
3) Asha & Rudy together - they need very little input from us parents - just the odd drink! They play so well, and get on like a house on fire...I'm glad Asha has someone here that she utterly adores... School friendships are still a bit tough sometimes...so I'm grateful she has a friendship that gives her SO much pleasure. Thea told me that when she said to Rudy they were coming to meet us in the park, he ran the entire way, and it's the quickest they've ever done that journey! Lovely!
