Practice makes perfect

I bought a new cake tin. One of those you can adjust to various sizes. This is in preparation for making s cake for Katie's 21st birthday. So today I decided to have a practice, checking amounts of ingredients , baking time and attempting various decorating techniques. ( the latter needs a lot of practice!) I ended up with a lovely cake which I presented as an early birthday cake to Martin. But I can't show it here or that will spoil Katie's surprise .
