quarry

I hadn't intended to go for a walk but the gym car park was full so I put plan B into action. This is the view from the quarry at Elterwater to the Langdale Pikes  -  note that yesterday's snow has disappeared. 

I found a footpath a little higher up that I hadn't walked before. Got the map out to check it ......... oops, wrong map. Thought I knew where it would bring me out and if it didn't I could always retrace my steps. Got it right and it made a good circular route. 

Packing now (5th) for a long weekend away and a belated birthday party. Did I forget to mention my birthday on Tuesday's blip?
