GM or Non-GM

The world population is set to double in next fifty years.

Can the earth sustain that number,? Scientists say yes but we need to change. We need to stop wasting food, we need to improve crop yields at the same time as lowering inputs.

Today's debate ended up being centred on GM crops.

One one side an eminent scientist, on the other side a practicing organic farmer.

Ultimately consumers will dictate whether G M is acceptable or not but today the weight of scientific fact as opposed to emotional feel-good supported GM as one of the most important tools of food sustainability.
