A stranger in my neighbourhood

I've lived in this same street since 2003 - almost 13 years next June - and inevitably I've come to recognize the faces and habits of many of my neighbors. The same happens with the cars they drive, although I'm not very good at remembering the car brands or individual number plates like some people I know.  Colour, size and shape are to me the more memorable features.
When I had almost finished my brisk walk through the snow, looking like a mad woman because of my sudden outbursts of laughter while listening to my audio-book,  I spotted this "stranger" parked a few houses south of my home and I'm guessing it will be taking up residence here as a "take-home vehicle" (is that the right term?). The colourful decoration is the trademark of a big IT company where one of my neighbours works.
