The Sandston Pharmacy

I live in a small blip on the map called Sandston. It is just outside of Richmond, VA. Don't blink, you might miss it. There are a few businesses here that have been open and running for a long time. The Sandston Pharmacy is one of them. Tony Mehfoud bought the pharmacy in the Mid 1940's. He passed away in 1998 and the pharmacy stopped filling prescriptions in 2008. Still owned by a Mehfoud son, it does serve food and sell other items. I remember going in there when I was a kid to buy tennis balls because it was just up the street from the courts. It's great to see businesses stay open and remain in the family.
