Year of the Monkey

If you haven't already figured/heard, this CNY is the year of the monkey and there are monkey displays all over the Chinese world. Including these huge golden monkeys at the Galaxy Macau.

Martin's come to join me in Macau for our little getaway and Jon's gone home, so sad. Thought he might have liked to hang out with us, but friends were calling .... we know our place.

Went back to the Ritz Carlton for French night on Tuesdays. All you can eat oysters!!! And they were deeeelicious. I had about 8, Martin about 15! Washed down with a marvellous French martini cocktail. We enjoyed ourselves as we listened to the live music. People wouldn't stop coming and chatting with us. Bar manager, assistant manager, saxophonist, waitresses .... Martin had to remind them we were on a date night. Anyway, one of them said they could show us a room, the hotel's show room, which we were very excited about. She was excited too, as this manager was very loyal to the brand and proudly walked us through the suite. Very nice too! Classy.
