On the tiles!
Busy day today so l'm doing a quick blip of my new kitchen tiles turned into a quick absract for Absract Thursday using Kaleidoscope on my iPad .
Racing against time really as Mr P is having another finger straightened next week.
Since the start of the year he has been decorating our house at speed consisting of through lounge, dining area, porch, conservatory, small hall, staircase and a bathroom. He pulled all the tiles off in the kitchen only to discover a large hole in the wall that had just been tiled over by the builders in the past! So he's replastered it and today he's begun the tiling.
The problem is that he is colour blind and the tiles I've chosen are particularly bad shades for him to distinguish. I've also designed a pattern that requires a lot of cutting so its not going to be a quick job.
I've laid out the tiles on the dining table in the pattern and he's following that. But l still need to check every tile as it goes on.
We only found out yesterday that we will be going to Newcastle twice next week to see the plastic surgeon and then Mr P will be out of action for another six weeks.
The kitchen ceiling needs replastering as we had a flood from the above bathroom but that can wait and the rest of the decorating will go on hold.
If we had known what was happening next week we wouldn't have started!
