Land of the Silver Birch

Blue sky! Sunshine! Hurrah!

I love walking in birch woods. I pretend I'm in Russia (must be the War and Peace effect).
 The song "Land of the Silver Birch" was my ear worm this morning - an old favourite from Girl Guide camp. It's a Canadian song, so there must be birch forests there as well.
