The poppy won

I've been at home "having a quiet day", or at least that was the idea. There was a lot to catch up with and I'm pleased to have had time to make two photo albums I had promised to other people.

In the garden more and more flowers keep appearing. I had to metaphorically toss up between this poppy and a foxglove. It was hard to decide but the poppy won for cheeriness and the papery folds in the petals. These little poppies grow around the garden and keep coming back year on year.
