Tuesday: Mestrovic

I have been lucky to have had some meetings in interesting venues recently.  Today's excursion was to the Mestrovic Gallery in Upper Town.

We went to the cinema tonight to see 'Carol'.  I was delighted that it was shown here as I seriously doubted that it would be.  It was released here last week and apart from us, there were four other people in the cinema.  Never mind - it was incredible.  I have been so excited about the film for such a long time (having loved the book and heard good things about the movie) and we weren't disappointed.  It was so subtle and beautiful and the Hopper-inspired cinematography was wonderful.  I have had to force myself to blip this evening - I so wanted to stay in the world of the 1950s.
