HELLEBORE

I've been a bit pathetic today and only just managed to get through the front door for a couple of photos in the front pocket handkerchief garden. Black and white hellebores are flowering now, but confusingly so still are my ceanothus (extra) and a small patio rose.

I had to do a big annual update and maintenance job today on a booking and invoicing system I designed about 20 years ago. Every year I become more astonished at how clever I must have been to do it in the first place, because it was never my field of expertise and there's no way on earth I could manage it now, and this year in particular it took every ounce of concentration I could muster to keep track of what the hell I was supposed to be doing. I had to send B out for cod & chips for dinner as brain food.

Anyway, I need another lie-down now. I believe I have some Michael Wood programmes to catch up on. :-D
