Odds 'n' Sods
I don't have many things that belonged to my mum - these three pieces and yesterday's charm bracelet are pretty much it.
The ring was her engagement ring. It's about as thin as a ring can be and I suspect that the abbreviation "Plat" that you can see on it means "electro-plated" and I'm pretty sure it's not platinum (as my somewhat over-excited sister thought). The locket on the left used to have a really fine silver chain and ditto the little gold locket at the top. Goodness knows where they've been melted down.
I shall keep all three. They mean something to me. I am a soft git like that and it doesn't bother me one bit.
Had an "interesting" day at work.
Spent the whole day testing. And swearing. So much so that I looked up what the German for a swear-box is, it's "eine Strafkasse für Flüche & Schimpfwörter".
I'm thinking about setting one up in our office, I could probably retire early.
It's gearing up for a stormy couple of days here. Munni will be delighted because it means that I'll be putting on the heating again.
