Buried treasure

We found this whilst digging holes for the new apple trees - that's the Royal we. I offered advice.

A dull piece of glass but lovely when held up to the sun coming through the windows. Yes, we had sun, quite a bit and way more than was forecast. We also had hail but just a tiny bit.

Edit: I forgot to mention that this also fits with the Dickens challenge fantastically devised by Hildasrose and Chantler63. This fits with the quote from Oliver Twist - the sun, the bright sun, brings back.... etc etc
