Colours of 'Summer'
Today was a rare variety of days - a day of relaxation! After the incredibly busy week I had, it was lovely to finally slow down and breathe. I find that after such a hectic and fast paced week, when I finally manage to slow down I really notice the small wonders around me.
Despite the pouring rain, me and Stuart somehow managed to find a gap in the rain to take a tiny walk (before being soaked right at the end, typical!) and I saw this little bee - one of the few, if only one, I've seen this 'summer'- flying from the few pink flowers that were along the path. I spent forever just watching it fly from one, to the other (taking hundreds of pictures, a curse Im sure all you Blippers know all too well!). I was captivated by the life of this little bee, thinking how busy he must be and how silly my busy week was in comparison.
I love slowing down, looking at the little things in life. It really puts things into perspective for me, in a very nice way.
I also was treated to a trip to Ikea by Stuart's parents to kit out the flat. I might've accidentally spent a whole weeks wage on furniture and rugs. Oops. guess Ill have to work extra hard next week.
A bit like the little bumble bee....
