Our paddock of Maize

This is the second year that we have grown maize, and this years crop is so much better than last year, mainly due to the consistent rain that we have had since it was planted.  This crop is already 2 times my height, and it won't be harvested until early April, so has more growing to be done.

It's been another 31 degree C day.  Farmerboy has spent all afternoon getting yesterday's baled hay into the sheds.  He'll be pleased when he has finished for the day.

School starts for the boys tomorrow.  After finishing school in early November last year, it's going to be hard getting them (and me!) back into that back to school routine in the mornings.
