Lost in the Post

We were totally dumbstruck when this arrived in the post this morning from a very good friend in Leeds.  It had been posted on 10th December 2015, with a Large 1st Class stamp, as required and was in immaculate condition.  So where has it been all this time and why was no explanation or apology from Royal Mail attached to it?

Even pigeon post would have been quicker!!

(Mother-in-law is still waiting for her birthday card, sent in the first week of January!  Maybe there's a chance it will still get to her!)
