3 Bob Alphabet Challenge : Y (Day 268)
The forecast was for a fairly rubbish day with strong winds and heavy showers. My beautiful wife and I dodged a hail shower and managed to wander the dogs in the dry this morning.
The rest of the morning was spent starting to ready a room for plastering. There is a fair bit of work to do to get it ready, but at least we have made a start.
We headed to Yesnaby for the walk today. The perfect place for a blip beginning with Y. It was unbelievably wild, certainly the strongest winds I have been there in. It was reasonably safe, as the wind was coming straight off the sea. I left HV with the dogs and braved crossing the stream that was being blown back on itself in a massive fountain. I made it all the way to the sea stack which is my extra pic. The massive waves were breaking over the cliff tops and sending spray a long way in land. On the way back to HV, a squall came in and I was nearly knocked off my feet a couple of times. The fence helped me to stay upright in winds gusting close to 100mph.
Back at the car I found I was soaked to the skin despite waterproofs. It is a bit wild out there, but incredibly exhilarating.
Look out for blips by Bob and Bob.
This blip marks my 1095th entry. Three years of blipping something every single day. I started blipping on a bit of a whim, after a suggestion from a couple of friends. I hope that my photography has improved in the time I have been doing this. I certainly know a bit more about what I am doing, though I will always shoot a landscape if I get the chance. I am so glad that the future of blip looks a lot more promising, and hope that given time the community spirit will return to its former strength.
Thank you to everyone who follows my ramblings, thank you to those who comment. You guys all make blip the addictive, special and unique place that I love.
