Indian Pond Heron(Ardeola grayii)
A walk around the Natural park at Qurum today to see the birds resulted in a little bit of a disappointment, despite the superb weather, there were only about 10 different kinds of birds to see, which is actually not normal. I did however see two new birds neither of which I managed to photograph perfectly, but were lovely to see, this Indian Pond Heron was standing on one of the bandstands and the Common Kestrel was really too far away, but as an extra it just shows the diversity of birds in Oman at the moment. I was hoping for a spectacled Bulbul or an Arabian Babbler so very sorry to just hear them but not come up with the goods! Next time.
