Simple Pleasures...

We walked to Lidl through Longley Woods in the rain (the boys spent their usual 15 minutes negotiating about choice of shared doughnut...tight dad but it's entertaining to hear them debate the merits of a jam doughnut vs a chocolate ring one...a pink sprinkle ring doughnut won today!). On the way back they got silly on these logs - was a joy to watch...one of those magic parent moments when you can't believe how lucky you are ...(and I'll leave it there!)

A rainy junior parkrun first thing - Alex ran by himself (dad and his swollen knee whimped out!) and equalled his (Emma assisted!) pb. Matthew ran strongly too. The boys visited Granny and Grandad in Harrogate in the afternoon with Emma.
