The Green Isle and Snow
I walked the shores of Scapa Bay today on the monthly beached birds survey. A few casualties, hardly surprising given the recent storms. It went from very clear to very snowy in only a few minutes...see the extra shot.
Live birds included great northern diver, red-breasted merganser, fieldfare, wrens, a stonechat, 4 ravens etc.
The Green Isle is a tug currently servicing the oil rigs moored in Scapa Flow.
