Munni die Eroberin

That's Munni the Conqueress for the hard of German.

It was a very damp and cold day here, the sort of day where small cats seek out warmth and know that the best place in the world is where you find a large Ausländer who loathes being cold.  If you find him, then you can very easily nick his seat and he'll end up sitting on a stool next to you  as you sprawl all over his comfy chair.

Any attempt by said Ausländer at trying to recover his chair is met with meowing and more sprawling.  It is here that the Ausländer knows he's been beaten by superior cuteness and gives up.

I spent the day reading more German things and enjoying it.  Had my first encounter with Sisi - I think I'll add a couple of books about her to my list of things to read.  She comes across as another of the Very Odd.

And for your German lesson today - if a word in German ends with -in then you know it's a woman.  der Arzt-die Ärztin (the doctor), der Ingenieur-die Ingenieurin (the engineer), der Verkäufer-die Verkäuferin (the sales person) and so on.  A male conqueror would be der Eroberer.
