Common or Garden

Sometimes the pulse quickens when you see something different or unusual on the feeders, but mostly it's the same dozen or so visitors. We have a list of 30 different birds in the 2 and a half years since we moved here, and some have visited only once or twice. I'm sure everyone who does the Big Garden Birdwatch hopes for something exciting.
Last day of January, and I've spent the day catching up with my records and sorting, deleting and backing up photos. A perfect day for it, as it's been wet and gloomy. No end in sight to the grim weather, but I know many have suffered much more than us, so I shouldn't grumble too much!
