Flowers

This lady is selling flowers for ladies' hair in town. She will have strung the flowers together earlier in the day in great long lengths and will cut them to order. They look beautiful in the rich dak plaits which sometimes go all the way down to the waist... People don't usually get flowers that long, but you will quite often see someone with a double string of about 8-10 inches clipped to the top of the plait.
She has a stand at one of the busiest corners, which is outside Pothy's, an upmarket store in Tirunelvelli Town. It's also a handy place to catch men on their way home from work orfrom the temple.
Lovely scent of jasmine in amongst all the traffic and other smells.
