Assyrian Might

For the second Sunday in a row Clare and I got to the British Museum for opening time.

Today we wanted to catch the "Egypt: faith after the pharaohs" exhibition before it closes next week.

I found it a bit disappointing. I felt I learnt a lot but unlike the Celts exhibition we saw last week it was a bit dry. No real wow! factor.

A great thing about the British Museum is that while they don't let you take photos in the special exhibitions they're relaxed about it in the standard collections. So today's blip is of one of the Assyrian antiquities. I wouldn't want to meet this guy in hand-to-hand combat.
