Leatherman Squirt PS4

This morning we found out why my better half was getting blown inner tubes on her road bike. The puncture she picked up a week or so ago wasn't a snakebite/pinch puncture as we first thought but was actually a side wall cut. So when we put in a new tube it just blew out through the gash in the side wall of the tyre! To be honest it was hard to spot, so it's time for a new tyre and yet another new inner tube. Having checked out the tyres that the bike came with, I think I'll just buy her a decent pair of Continental Gator Hard shells, they are on special at a few bike shops and have a good reputation for speed and puncture resistance...

Went for a bike ride in the early afternoon, and took the hybrids. They are heavier than the road bikes, but with wider tyres and disc breaks (on mine) so better able to deal with the local roads in their dreadful winter condition... We were slower than we are on the road bike bit they have better grip and can cope with the pot holes...!

Tonight's late back blip is a close up on a Letherman Squirt PS4 micro tool. It's actually for my better half to have with her on her in her bike tool kit. It's got a knife, scissors and a small pair of pliers - that her bike tool doesn't have.
