Ike

   I met Ike today.  I enjoyed him, but as you can tell from his photo, I don't know if he enjoyed it.  He looked me dead in the eye!
    I didn't get the whole story, but Ike has a mutilated wing.  The avian group has tried to immobilize it and let it heal.  Apparently it has not, and the group has determined that he can't be returned to the wild because he won't survive.  i saw him try to fly and he got about 18", upside down.
   Regardless, Ike is proud and fierce, and he doesn't let anybody forget it!
