She wanted a point and shoot to put in her bag.  The camera she already has never gets taken anywhere because it's big and heavy.  
I recommended the Fujifilm XQ2....she went with the pink Sony. 
Anyway, as some photographer or other once said "the best camera is the one you have with you".

Doubt she'll start blipping again but you never know.
