Rubbish
Debris post-lunch -snack and -dinner.
It is a symbol of today that debris was not moved between meals...
The real rubbish thing we are dealing with just now is that CarbBoy - whose name here would have been MilkBoy except that it sounded a bit odd, may be intolerant to lactose. This was diagnosed when he had his first allergy crisis at 12 months, but we were advised to ignore it as milk was his only tolerated protein.
Recently (like, this week) symptoms have stepped up a notch or two. CarbBoy is inconsolable. Even when I play the "it's a sign that you're growing up" card, it cuts no ice: this boy adores milk, and his heart is broken. Regardless, he is bravely trying new foods and drinks to fill the gap: boiled eggs, juice, cordial...
Anyway, today for me saw a very chatty market trip (the sunshine makes everyone smile), a quick haircut for CarbBoy (so he could see to play basketball), dropping him off at basketball, shopping, DIY with TallGirl - who will currently do any job that gets her off tidying her room, then dinner, Le Chateau de Ma Mere and - soon - a grateful collapse into bed. CarbBoy didn't 'get' the end of the film so TallGirl and I took it in turns - through sobs - to explain.
Tomorrow a bunch of skiing blokes will arrive during a (I'm guessing) six hour window. So tomorrow will be about making sure food/beds/beverages/fires are ready whatever time they show up. I may also find time for a lie-in and a cheese-heavy lunch in the sun.
