The accidental finding

Muddy paws on the bath

Guess who? No, they weren't mine. I got a lift to sunny Rodborough with Eileen and Kirsty, who had come over to visit me and Bomble. Unfortunately I arrived 24 hours early for the event. Fortunately, it was a beautiful day for walking back across country. Unfortunately, I did not have a camera with me..... Will try again tomorrow.

I finally managed to get a new international SIM and speak to Clean Steve. His joints ( the ones in his body!) Are giving him gyp. It is time he came home...

Joy of joys, there is a school disco for staff tonight. The word disco conjures up so many unpleasant associations: being fat, fourteen, four-eyed, and f*** -all good at dancing, to name but a few! By the time I was sixteen and able to go to the 'debate dance' at Queen Vic's (where "they put bromide in the tea, because it's a school for sons of the Armed Forces, don't you know") the disco seemed slightly less cringeworthy. There was the chance of a slow-dance snog, perhaps, with a bit wearing Blue stratos aftershave. I wouldn't go near the Old Spice boys, I know my aromas!

But I digress. I am 51 and three-quarters now, and I Will Survive the disco! Even if it does feel ever so peculiar being back in the school hall.
