Olympic Torch Day!
Hubby and I decided that it was a complete 'must see'- but thought it best to leave the car at home and take the bikes instead! What a lovely four mile bike ride (one way!)....although the hill I normally run up nearly finished me off!! Wow, I was all out of puff after that experience. All the Villagers must have thought we were mad.....whizzing past us in their shining 4x4's smirking....well, I had the last chuckle when they were the ones having to park up 2 miles out of the village to walk the rest of the way. We found a nice post, secured the bikes and awarded ourselves with a lovely bacon roll - nothing beats good bacon and a nice fresh roll.
Way back home, some people are idiots, again whizzing past us only to scare a poor girl on the back on a very frightened horse!! A white van driver bombed around the corner whilst we were trying to move the said 16 hander, which nearly caused the horse to rear. How the rider held on I will never know! Managed to move horse who then decided my bike was an issue, so bike shoved in hedge and cars asked to stop and turn engines off....horse calmed and the girl and horse moved safely on - phew!!
Sorry this photo is another layer, but I like learning the technique.....I didn't want to get into 'processing' photos but I do want to learn a little more. Promise tomorrow will be a 'natural' photo
