At 10.30pm, LongLegs and HatBox walked through the front door together.

I wasn't expecting them. Earlier in the week, they apologised for the lack of birthday card or present but both of them said that their presence would arrive on Friday. I didn't pick up on the subtle hint.

We have them until Sunday. What a double delight.
