Lost and Found
Crocus dalmaticus M5316
I received this crocus from a fellow collector in 1999. It is an unusual form with bright creamy yellow outer petals delicately marked with lilac veins. One year it suffered a major setback, declining to just one tiny cormlet. I thought it was lost. I have 'hospital' pots where I put lost causes, tiny single corms that appear to have no future. It was in one of these that I noticed this flower.... maybe 10 years since it last flowered. Happy!
Lots of happy news this week. Amy has been offered a fully funded place at the school that we were hoping for. Ruth has been told that she will be getting an EHCP (Education and Health Care Plan) - the next step towards her education goals. AND tonight we have all been offered a place on family weekend at Center Parcs through the Special Needs youth club that Amy attends .... she is much valued by the team who run the club as she looks after a boy with complex special needs and has made a big difference in his life.
We seem to have found a run of good luck after a 'lost' year in 2015. Happy!!
