Old photos
My mother's two eldest sisters were taken from Ireland to live in America by my grandfather when they were young women. This is Aunt Celia on her wedding day. She must have looked so rich and elegant to her younger sisters still living on the small farm in County Mayo. I am sure they spent many hours looking at photos like this and imagining lives so different from theirs.
But what do we do with old photos now? These were my mother's but really I dont know what to do with them other than keep them in boxes...for what?
Jack says you shouldn't destroy photos and it is frightening to think that all the photos we take now could be inaccessible in the future as technology changes and current systems go out of date. So what do you do?
On that somewhat worrying thought I wish you all a good weekend
