On our way to Halifax.
We drove down to Halifax today along a route we haven't done before. It took us along the coast of the Bay of Fundy and the landscape was very different and beautiful. Mudflats (see extra) turned into strange combinations of ice, snow and mud...the river flowing along with huge chunks of ice being moved along
We stopped to check directions on Terry's smart phone (i hate reading it while moving!) and this amazing old tree was right in front of me.
Found our way to the little farmhouse we were booked into, and we were met by Charlotte and her 2 dogs and 3 cats. It was such a warm and cozy place, she had offered to make us dinner since the closest town was a bit of a drive. So for a very nominal charge we were treated to an amazing dinner....we provided the wine and we sat at her kitchen table trading stories about our lives while she cooked. It was such a good experience.
The only bad thing was the bed was very small and i didn't get a lot of sleep. felt a bit grumpy the next morning!!!
